Yakitori is a Japanese dish consisting of skewered, grilled chicken. It's typically cooked over charcoal, and the skewers are often basted with a sweet and savory sauce called tare. Besides chicken, other ingredients like vegetables and even other meats like pork can be included in yakitori.

Chef Ling Rong You brings over three decades of culinary mastery to Metro Atlanta, having honed his craft in some of New York City's most prestigious kitchens.

A passionate specialist in authentic Izakaya and Robata cuisine, Ling has trained under legendary culinary figures—from Japanese Michelin-starred chefs to working for (unknowly) Top Chef judges' kitchen.

More than just a flavor artist, Chef Ling has led back-of-house teams in demanding, high-volume kitchens, balancing precision cooking with thoughtful leadership. He believes exceptional food begins with respect—for ingredients, tradition, and the people who enjoy his creations. Guided not by trends or titles but by a genuine love for Japanese cuisine, Ling shares his craft with heartfelt sincerity.
At the core of his grilling technique is binchōtan charcoal—a premium white oak charcoal from Japan prized for its clean, consistent heat and ability to enhance natural flavor without smoke or bitterness. Unlike standard grilling Not just a craftsman of flavor, Chef Ling has also led back-of-house teams in high-volume, high-standard kitchens, mastering both precision cooking and elite kitchen operations.
